my trip to colorado

I have always been interested in seeing so many things in the world. I hadn't traveled a lot since I was in high school. It became harder to travel having a baby around. I heard of a site called couch surfing.com. I wasn't sure what to think about it at first. I thought hey why not. Half of the people I know were strangers at one point. It was either between Pennsylvania or Colorado. I had always wanted to see mountains. Colorado's response came quicker and it was closer. Now I have a friend out there. She was very nice. Carlette has a couple grand kids so Caleb had some company. We went site seeing most of the time anyway on our own.
We went to the Dakota Mountains in Morrison, Co. That was cool cause it was called Dino Ridge. Caleb met an archiologist in training. Caleb had found a fossil back home from our tae kwon do school he brought it along and showed it off. Our tour guide TJ was very impressed. He said they needed more archiologist around. So we hoped in the tour van and went up in the mountains some. It was cool cause there was also one part were we could see red rock from across the way. So it was like a two for one. lol
The only bad part about the trip was that I'd lost my keys some where in Dino ridge over night. We had to wait for a lock smith to come open my car to discover they weren't there. I got a ride from a lady who worked at Dino ridge to a sub way near by. She had to lock the gates soon. Every young boys dream to be in "jurrasic park" after hours. lol Then we got a ride back to the condo from Carlette's boyfriend. That was very nice of him.  By some luck some one had found the keys in a bush. Sounds like something a kid would do just look in a ush and see them. Not sure how many grown ups would just happen to look in a bush, who knows. lol
We didn't get to go to the rockies cause we'd spent half the day trying to figure out how to get an extra set of keys and then the next day a storm started to spread over those mountains. I did get to see the Cliff Dwellings in Manitou, Co. It was awesome driving on the highway that far. The mountains were beautiful. Being an emotional girl I was cryong about how beautiful they were. It wasn't the rockies but maybe next year I'll see them. I had soooo much fun. I wish I could've taken people with me.
I bought this really good buckle berry honey there. We did get to watch Gnomeo and Juliet with Carlette's family. I'm glad Carlette was a christian and accepte me for the same. So that gave us something in common. She was an interesting women to meet. Someone who faced many struggles in life but still keeps on keeping on. Deffinately someone to admire in my book.  I was exausted from soo much driving when I got home. I will have to live in Colorado for at least a year in my life, at least.
