I read an article about the topic never give up recently. It's a facebook group called Sisters in Christ that gave me the idea. There was a picture of a duck climbing a wall. You may have seen it.
I'm 5'2" and I way 97 lbs at 31 years old. I'm a first degree black lt in tae kwon do.
I have a child & i'm a single mom.
If I had let all of my set backs stop me I would never have gotten my black belt.
Each day is a new day to try to dream the same dreams or to dream new ones.
Ever feel like you are going no wear fast?
Ever feel like what is the point? Ever feel like thr is too much sadness to make a difference? Ever wonder how other people out there make it?
I do not have all the solutions but a cheesy suggestion that I like. I think happiness has to be your own choice. I don't always want to get things accomplished. If I gave into that all the time could you imagine how depressing that would be & how much mor sadness that would add to the world?
I think I feel bad for all those in places where they don't have all the good food & access to doctors like I do.
I think being small is an obsticle for me. I think it makes me feel like I can't do as much as othr people can. I can't lift a lot, I can't each up high. I shouldn't let my differences keep me down.
I am made differently cause I am here for different reasons & I have new days to keep trying.
I keep trying find new ways to get out there.
I joinedmeetup.com the ther day. I went to my first meeting. I meet fellow photographers to discuss like interests with. It was a free group. Not all groups are free on it. I handed out some of my business cards for my cleaning services. New friends I meet can contact me & hang out or pass it along for other possible clients.
If we dwell in the well that may not work so why try it we let evil win. I think if more people learned that getting into trouble & having more kids then we can afford is just sensless we would be better off. I'm against abortion, but I think men & women should work hard & control themselves. I may be chastiesed for saying so but it's what ever.
I think if you have friends who have a dream to go for & it's not hurting anyone we should support them on it as much as we can & not be affraid. How can we live in fear?

A single mother's wish:
12-25-12
(I wrote this Christmas evening)
I have many dreams of my own put on hold for someone more imortant than myself.
I have many dreams of my own put o hold for someone I love even more than myself.
There is someone I brought into this world a few years ago.
Someone who made me able to see how I need to change.
If I could have a wish I know what it would be.
I wish for people to see a world though me.
I am not trying to say I am always right.
I am not trying to say you are always wrong.
I wish for people to understand in a glimer of light the choices I make.
It's hard already for me to work, to do chores and to mee everyones criteria f how they think we should be.
If I'm having a bad day I wish you could get off your high horse and lend an ear and a heart
to help out.
Criticizing I don't take to well,doing this on my own.
I try my best to please if you could pick up on my cues that might be of interest to you.
Some peace, solitude, understanding and extra helping hands are welcome,
just not an ignoring shoulder or glare.
As a wish I'd wish for you to help us be what much more we can be.
We don't want to be burdens but blessings in our own disguise.

All the students rush to their lines to go and sit in neat little desks.
They have many things to learn in a day, a year.
They have more to learn than what's in those books and those tests.
They have to lear how to deal with the dirty looks.
Sometimes some kids are a bit more sensative and oters even teachers call them
tatle tales.
It's all a combination of effors from everyone because we all have different
things about us.
We all have different things that make us unique.
Book smats are very important.
It's what gets us the jobs and carrers out thre we meet.
Maybe we can learn to develope tougher skin and a safer
place we can learn in.
It all seems so rushed for some.
It all seems as a gift for other.
We all deserve life long friends and good memories.
I think most of it starts in the home. Not all of it,
I may disagree. Can you control how much you laugh at
someone elses misfortunes.
It may mean the world for them.

cleaning why it's important
Hello again,
I'm back!!! If that's a good thing or a bad thing it deepends on you. lol I have been doing lot of research on finding cleaning jobs. Most sites that have people adverstise are wanting a montly payment. I'm sure there are more good ones out there besides care.com. I think friends who know other people besides who I know are a very good way to start.
Cleaning someone elses house is much different then cleaning your own. Sometimes you have more days to clean some areas as opposed to a few hours. If they want you back you have to do it top to bottom and say what you do and do not handle. I think for me starting off cleaning in businesses has deffinatly made me realise I would much rather clean houses. I don't have stals to clean only a bath room or two. I don't have a bunch of coustomers running in and out of a store. I only have one family or person at a time. I think it is much easier to build up trust because working for yourself you can make contracts. As opposed to working at a store you have do go by their rules. I have found sometimes at stores they expect you to be plumbers almost. If I were cleaning a house I would say that I do not handle plumbing issues and I do not repair carpets, I only vacuum them. Also you may have to say if you can help them declutter or not. Some people may want all their stuff but not get rid of it. One more thing, let them know if you cook or not, some people may think you will but I do not cook.
There are boards along the walls of the house at the bttom you can wipe off, dishes to do, laundry ask if they want new bedding or dusting. Sometimes they may have a room they prefer you to stay away from.
I feel the hardest part is building up the clients first. It takes time and people have to be willing to help you. Sometimes working for toher companies seems like a good idea but they want you to have experience of a couple years first. Lots of moms I feel would be great at house cleaning. Some mom's jsut do not want the time. I saw the best add that said "Give the gift of clean." It can be a gift if you know someone who needs it but can't afford it then offer it for them. Sometimes I try to think of my own catch phrases but lots are taken.
I think what is great about me trying to become a house keeper is that I have a child to clean up after as well as teach him how to clean on his own. I also am comfortable around pets seeing that I have a few. I think having a resume present helps and possably a business card to look more professional.
Being a mom I have to learn how to multi task and maintain order. Doing laundry and dishes and vacuuming is a part of my every day routine so why not try to make a living of it for someone else who doesn't have the time?
Plus if I work for myself I don't have to worry aout someone elses schedule like a managers. I just have to say I have to drop my son off first and then I can come over and clean by around 10 am if that suits. Sometimes for mom's it can be hard to find a good job with a tight schedule and little help. So you can kill two birds with one stone. Find someone willing to work and work it appropriatly to schedule needs. Find an individual who want to clean for someone who doesn't and will pay. People don't always have to go out far over seas to help others, look in your own town.

creativity
Hello again,
I have beeb doing lots of investigating on things to do at home. For me I feel I am going to try to be a hostess at a restraunt. I have not picked any one particular one yet but I think it could work. I may not have ideal help now but I could work evenings on weekends and pick my locations.
I admire people who can be that creative person and find ways to make a little extra money hear and there from home. My favorite idea was selling books you don't need any more cause you've read them. I have a few books I jsut tend to give my stuff to good will cause I'm too lazy to have a yard sale. I hear people don't always make much at those. Then when it comes to it eventually wouldn't you run out of stuff to sell though? For me I'd love to seel some of my books or cds even. I have my cds in a container and no longer have the cases but they are still work able. I have changed my style of music. I have quite a few pop culture cds I do not use any more. I have a yong child so I am very particular on what we listen to at home or in the car. I make a lot of art as well.
The only thing is I would have to make the right connections of people cause I would feel bad about asking just people I know cause I know alot of people have money problems as well. I work part time but it is kind of far away.
Here are is a small list of legit ways to make some money if you know the way to advertise and people to make connections. This is just from googling efforts.
Pet sittig: It is becoming a big trend because a lot of people realize how uncomfortable their pets are away from home. I do not smoke so for me this would be a plus.
baby sitting: I worked at a day care for a while and after taking some classes and that I have discovered I like babysitting at my home or someone elses home. I have pets so I have to be aware of peoples allergies. I love children just a few at a time because other people that help at day cares tend to leave you to do their own things. It depends if you have a really good day care. If you have your own kids you can always suggest that and lots of people like play dates for thiers.
garage sales: Garage sales can get you seom stuff but you have to be willing to part with stuff. Plus it helps if you can get up in the am. People love to go for those early cause that's when the good stuff sells. Normally by the time I get there it's just nick nacks you can find any where.
Cleaning: Do you like to be organized? I am not great at it but I try. I love to dust and I love to put things away. It's time consuming and relaxing. Maybe you can't make money from this at home but you can control your ours. I have learned looking for work under someone else they may not always under stand your schedule. I am just about always early. It's one of my good qualities. I love taking my son to school and picking him up. I figured if I was my own boss I could do that, sometime I'd need help. Plus if you use your wn supplies you'd probably have to work that into the price.

scams R us
Hello friends,
Why is it that when something seems to good to be true it usually is? I really would like to stay home and take surveys all day. Why is it that when I start they link to "get this free" then tey want to take you to like 20 different thngs. Then you find yourself waisting an hour and you got nothing cause you don't want to buy and thing if it's supposed to be free. Well I feel that I have very few skills out there. I know how to do the basics of keeping up with a house but I need more then that. I kind of really want to go back to school but the thought of getting there and balancing more to my scheule is very intimidating. Plus I've never been good at taking tests. I really would like to find out how people make their own web sites and such to advertise.
Basically what I know how to do is laundry, dishes, dusting, vacuuming, taking pictures, taking care of the pets, getting my son ready for school, & so on. I do not have very great math skills to get very far. I need to elaborate on those and get them to grow. Math just makes me very nervous.
With what I do know how to do I do not get any credit for it. How can I make myself anything if I do not go back to school and try. Could I ever win money writing an awesome poem or essay or book? How do those links work? Often scholarships link to the fafsa and I already filled out that. If any one has advice I'd love to hear it.
I have reasons why certain people are not in my life and that is off to the side for personal conversations.
I feel as mom's we get short handed cause the outside world views us as people who take off too much for putting our kids first. Sometimes we have to. I am so glad I have the help I do but it istime I start branching out on my own. I need to take what I've learned in my house and apply it out there.
Who would have thought I live in a world where being the one on the interview has to ask questions at the end? I learned certain questions like health benefits and do you mind leaving early are bad questions. THey prefer if you ask things like "What motivates you to come in to work?" Or "wuld you hire me?" I think those questions would depends on what kind of profssion you are involved with. If it's a fast food job I don't think everyone feels the same as one with a degree.
However sometimes it helps when someone says, "Hey I know a person wh would be gret for this job or they need something I'd like to help them."
I don't see myself as being resued by a prince charming in the near future. It would have already happend by now and internet dating is just full of weirdos.
So as I stated if anyone has tips or just wants to help us let me know. Help can be just watching Caleb so my dad doesn't have to do it all or what ever. Or you can help by finding someone for me to clean for to earn some money. Or can I take pictures of you for my portfolio?
I jsut can't sit around waiting for someone to call I always have stuff to do it seems. It's just to make them worth my time, talent and money.

Why mom's blog
Well it seems to be a chatchy thing to blog. I think sometimes my status updates fr Facebook can be a bit wordy for me and other friends so we blog. One big space to put it all in there.
This morning was interesting. My son didn't want to go to school, his stomach was clearly bothering him. After about 9:30am he came around. I think that he didn't want to take a test, been there with stuff I didn't want to do. Kid next time don't mention you have a test and you wont get busted. lol
Also I have had the hardest time looking for direction. I have a meeting on Tuesday of this week to see if I qualify for a big enough gant to go back to school at this amazing art institue. Some of me doesn't want to because I'm not the greatest at school. Some of me wants to to see how much I'm worth. Then there is always the option of nt going if I don't get enough. Might as well find out what I'm worth.
I really want to work in the day time when my son is in school to give me something prodcutive to do. I feel I have this big time block on my hands and I don't know what to with it. I would love to promote my wn cleaning ideas to others. I know for me I work better getting my stuff into clusters so it looks like I have more space. I like getting rid of stuff as well. I feel that it is a tough thing for some people as I have stated before to get rid of stuff. I enjoy dusting and I enjoy showing someone I wont just sit down and be a bum. I feel that I think that too many people take advantage of a good job and blow it by being lazy. I am someone who does the best of my ability.
Now I had mentioned before that there was a flood at my old work location. I think that they were trying to say i didn't pick it up fast enough to meet ther approval. Well the only thing loial I felt I could say to that was I wasn't trained on the tools. I had after all been trained on just tiding up. I don't see how that makes sense. I think that some people just don't want to do more than what's required of them but that is a cycle that needs to stop. I just feel some people don't listen. Maybe it's cause I'm a female, maybe it's cause I'm small. I don't know. I just want to do my best to put myself out there and show I do not do just half a job. When you put one person in charge of a big place it takes a lot of work. I have learned what it means when someone says, "Sell yourself why should I hire you?" I think they want to know if you're going to do thing with a lot of effort or hardly any at all. I want to be a hard worker to show my son what it is all about out there. It's a big world we can't run from everything we don't like. Somethings we have to stand up to.

work like a man act like a lady
I have called this blog work like a man and act like a lady because I have read it several times on face book with various things I follow for quote ideas. I think having grown up wth a pretty spoiled life style I learned what acting lke a lady is all about. Now that I am a grown up for the past everal years of my life I have been working here and there and just trying to find my place in this world. I have learned that men get paid moe then women, I have know idea why that would be. I think we should get paid the same but fat chance in that happening.
I have a son to raise so since I am raising him I have to show him how to be a man not forgetting I am a women and I feel it is best if I do that by working. I would love to go into my own business. I feel that a lot of the economy is hurting because thins are just bad and I dn't understand allthe stuff going on. Politics are just not my thing much. I think women can do anything they set their minds to and I believe taht with out trying to sound cliche or even corny.
I have learned that I have many talents. I can clean, take care of other living beings such as children and pets. I can take pictures, I can write and I can do laundry and draw. That's about it.
I feel going into my own business will involve risks. I feel as a single mother tired of being rejected from other interviews that I need a new angle. I think having a kid people are going to worry that I will back out if he gets sick or something. People need to know how to handle moms on a job situation. I think it's only fair that we are given chancesnot based on how ther mom's have been in the past.
I also feel that I don't have a whole lot of work experience. I am in a process o trying to obtain more.
I have had several jobs I didn't enjoy and would never plan on doing again. It's tough trying to fit in out there. I would love to get paid for cazy things like dog walking, baby sitting, cat sitting, blog writting, I just think that there is so much outthere in the world to see and do. Why does everything have to be about money who knows. I just know work is a part of life. With out work we are labled lazy, but I think each perso has their struggle on how to get there. I think we all sadly have our types of people we are uncomfortable around.
Some people don't like kids, some don't like pets some people don't like it when men wear their pants hanging half way offthier butts. I think we all have a place to fit in if we are willing to give each other a chance. I think the key is not to get too offened these days.
I have a son to raise so since I am raising him I have to show him how to be a man not forgetting I am a women and I feel it is best if I do that by working. I would love to go into my own business. I feel that a lot of the economy is hurting because thins are just bad and I dn't understand allthe stuff going on. Politics are just not my thing much. I think women can do anything they set their minds to and I believe taht with out trying to sound cliche or even corny.
I have learned that I have many talents. I can clean, take care of other living beings such as children and pets. I can take pictures, I can write and I can do laundry and draw. That's about it.
I feel going into my own business will involve risks. I feel as a single mother tired of being rejected from other interviews that I need a new angle. I think having a kid people are going to worry that I will back out if he gets sick or something. People need to know how to handle moms on a job situation. I think it's only fair that we are given chancesnot based on how ther mom's have been in the past.

Mayhem of mess ups
Somedays I feel like the imperfections of life also need to be noted. I mentioned I work at the Bass Pro in St Charles to clean. Last night at work we had a flood in the women's bathroom. I feel this was based on the Bass Pro staff. When they redid the bathroom they did not give new toilets just a new look to the bathrooms. It looks very nice and all. I will applauded there. However if a constent drip is mentioned by one toilet I feel some attention must be made. As for the men when it flooded that worked there they owned up & helped out so I wasn't to fend for myself to clean it up. They had to shut off one toilet & squigee the water out. Generally a part of my job is to make the bathrooms look presentable to the customers.
I feel this could have been prevented if more care had been taken up on the toilets. So note to my few readers if you see leaks in your bathroom splurge a bit to get it fixed before a bigger problem happens. Also as a side note wiping off the toilet set top bottom & under the flap is essential. Need I remind you that spiders love to hide there. Plus it just gets nasty if you don't.
I think it's awesome when people can work together on a team under pressure & not yell at each other. I think so many people want o work alone for worry of being yelled at. No one should be yelled at. It's a team effort to keep a house/business clean. Sometimes at a home our pipes aren't so big so we have to flush in between before completely done. I had to explain this to my son.
Now that best tools I've seen to do this one your own are these p,attic sticks with ridged edges called "snakes." I've used those before. My father did teach me about those. Generally I want to share about what happens when one owns too much stuff or just doesn't pick up after themselves. I thought this incident from work was entitled. I was proud to be part of a team who worked well under pressure & got things done. Lesson learned.

Garden of trash
Hello people,
This is an experiment i am conducting to see how many people will read this. I have heard that you can make money from home by blogging. It sounds too good to be true for me. I want to give it a shot. A lot of it depends on how many people read it and how much activity it gets. Just a question are there web sites out there that are better than others?
The topic of my blog this time is cleaning. A lot of you who know me know that I am very big on cleaning and lots of people may wonder why I would choose that. I am a single mother who would like to stay at home full time with my son. However that is not the case. I have a service to provide and a need to get it out there. I currently work part time and have been doing so for ten moths. I clean at the Bass Pro store in St. Charles, MO. I have been cleaning professionally out there for ten months. I get all the trash from different spots in the store and clean the women's and men's bathrooms as well. That is another topic for another day. For many people that may not seem like a long time.
It may not seem like a long time but I think it is enough time to see how much people throw away. I often wonder why people take it to the store and not at home. That is just out of convenience. I have had a dream for a while now to get out of that and become my own boss by cleaning houses. I see other people who do it and it looks very appealing to me. I love cleaning because I feel very productive when I am doing this task. I was going to continue blogging and give tips and tricks on research on how to organize, declutter, dust and so forth.
No one wants to be told by someone else that they have too much stuff. I however after living with my father have learned about hoarding and denial processes. I have learned the value of getting rid of stuff. If I keep everything what am I teaching my son? I am setting an example of keeping things and that stuff comes first. I feel a change needs to be made so toys and such aren't as important to him when he is older and is fine with getting rid of items he has out grown. I go through decluttering processes with him too.
So this is another journey in my life I am working on and I hope to gain some success out of it and inspire others. After all we should learn to leave the world a cleaner place. Less stuff less we spend and so forth. So peace out and have a great week!!!!
